[Personality]
In a nutshell, Yogi is a manchild. He's cheerful, friendly, silly, and outgoing to the point of being obnoxious. He wears his emotions on his sleeve, and is usually a pretty easy person to read. He loves sweets and sleeping, and doesn't like conversations that are too formal. Yogi also likes playing games such as hide and seek, and is offended when Gareki implies that he's too old for such games. Because he's easygoing about most things, others may see him as immature or lazy, but he has shown that he has the capacity to be serious. This serious side of him has surprised other characters in Karneval because it is such a 180 from his usual demeanor.
Yogi loves children, and takes his job as nyanperona (basically dressing up in a giant furry cat suit) very seriously, not wanting to show his "real identity" so children can keep their imagination. Because of his love for children, he showers Nai with attention and like Gareki, grows extremely protective of him. He's also very affectionate towards his friends and is fond of physical contact, even if they're not so willing. His hugs are very earnest! One of the things that pains him the most is the idea that Gareki does not think of him as a friend, which breaks his heart and makes him wonder if Gareki hates him. He's also capable of jealousy, as shown when he doesn't like the possibility of Jiki becoming as close to Gareki and Nai as he is.
As a fighter for circus and Hirato's direct subordinate, he's very capable in combat, but claims to not like violence. Although he's pretty good at fighting, it seems to make him nervous, and he avoids it if he can. Yogi's greatest fear is probably Dr. Akari, and he's prone to running away in fright whenever the physician is nearby. This is likely due to Yogi's fear of hospitals and how much Dr. Akari knows about him.
It's likely that Yogi may have suffered some traumatic event in the past, but nothing about his backstory has been revealed yet. The patch on his cheek is an allergy patch that must be replaced every so often. Failure to replace this patch has pretty bad consequences, as the medicine in his patch keeps his other personality from taking over. His hair changes color and Yogi seems to lose control. This side of Yogi is cruel, violent, and unpredictable. The only way to get him to return to normal is to administer this medicine, and afterwards he has no recollection of his actions. This dark side of him has only been shown once in the series, and its origin is unknown.
Because of his easily trusting and childish personality, Yogi often ends up being the butt of jokes. He can be easily slapped/ordered around by almost anyone, and unless he judges the person as actually malevolent, he doesn't fight back. He does, however, whine and complain about having to do something he doesn't want to, such as doing a mission in cold weather.
Yogi has a strong sense of duty when it comes to Circus. He is willing to protect innocent civilians even if harm befalls him, and would never leave a friend in danger. When he fights, it's often recklessly and without a plan, so while he is talented, he is prone to making mistakes and getting scolded by his superiors.
[Abilities]
As an employee of Circus, Yogi is a very skilled fighter. His weapons of choice are two thorn-like épées that he can materialize out of thin air. His special attack is the "Dornkiste", which is German for "thorn chest". This attack causes thorny vines to sprout from the ground and attack their target. He can also use them to form a shield. Like the other Circus fighters, he can also fly.
[Other important stuff]
I'm going to assume that Yogi arrives with a good supply of his medicine patches, if that's alright.

[First Person]
1. If someone provoked or attacked you, what would you do?
Ahh, I'm used to this by now, you know! I don't like violence, but if they've left me no other choice, then I guess I have to fight them. Erm.. wait, am I on a Circus mission, or just walking down the street? If it's a civilian picking a fight because he's drunk or something like that, I would probably try to talk my way out of a confrontation.
2. You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why?
I would rescue my friend, of course. I wouldn't be able to call myself a true friend if I just let them go like that. We've all got to stick together if we're going to get through the ordeal. I'd rather keep pursuing the bad guy after we're all safe!
3. There is a cake in the rain. What do you do?
I would probably look around and see if it has an owner. People don't usually leave cakes lying around in the rain by accident. Maybe this cake is looking for its owner? In which case, I would try to help it. I don't think cakes like being stuck in the rain any more than we do.
4. Is the best part of waking up having Folger's in your cup?
... What is Folgers? And no, the best part of waking up is realizing you don't have to wake up yet and rolling over to go back to sleep.
5. Some angry birds come to you to help them defeat some evil green pigs. Do you help them out?
Yes! I'm always willing to help out anyone in need. Ahh, but why are they so angry? Stop staring at me like that, please!
6. Do you believe you can fly? Do you believe you can touch the sky?
Uhh well actually, I can fly. It's not really as impressive as it sounds, and at first it was kind of scary. But I don't think I can fly THAT high up.
7. You find yourself with a cute, little penguin slave. What do you do with it?
Cute!!! I would take good care of it so it stays a happy penguin but... I wonder if the sheep on the ship would get jealous. I hope not. I'd probably let him or her roam around freely, if they'd like! But maybe it can help wake me up in the morning or help me entertain kids!
8. Oh no! Someone tripped and injured themselves right in front of you! What do you do?
I make sure they're okay first. I help them up, and I carry them to wherever they need to go if they can't walk! I hope they'll be okay...
[Third Person]
Few things made Yogi more miserable than the cold. Worse yet, it had started raining, and he hadn't made the smartest decisions in terms of outerwear. He really should have worn a jacket, but by the time he realized the temperature outside was frigid, it was too late to run back inside and beg one of the sheep to throw him a jacket.
Well, at least he had an umbrella. His head was hanging low, eyes squeezed shut as he tried to avoid the worst of the downpour. He groaned as he felt the wind speeding up, making his umbrella thrash back and forth. "Why me?!" Yogi whined to no one in particular as he turned the corner. "We couldn't wait until it got a little bit warmer?!" He was still grumbling to himself and so deeply wallowing in his misery that he couldn't react in time to the sudden gust of wind.
"Ahh, wait! Come back!" He called after his escaping umbrella, breaking into a run as he pursued it. Yogi wailed a little as he watched the thing fly over a building, fixing itself on the roof. As if his day couldn't get any worse! He briefly considered climbing up the side of the building to retrieve it, but considering the locals were skittish types who would shove him away from their windows without a second thought, decided it would be best to just admit defeat.
Shivering and hugging his arms, he kept walking, eyes scanning the street for a certain number. His face lit up when he realized how close he was to his target destination.
This mission was close enough to walk to, hence why Hirato hadn't wasted any transportation resources. It was strange that the crime scene was so close to where they'd chosen to set up base, but as they said, sometimes the best place to hide was in plain sight.
His head tilted as he caught a glimpse of something strange by the building's window. Was that... blood?
Well, there was no denying he'd made it to the right place.
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] I just finished reading Karneval and fell in love with Yogi, so I'd like to try playing him. As far as Somarium, the premise sounds really interesting, and I'm friends with Gareki-mun. :)
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] I like the way you guys handle characters who are perceived as OOC. I feel like it gives a chance for the player to improve, and putting in the effort of doing canon research to address concerns is something that shows how dedicated the mods are.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Seen you guys around ATP, and Gareki-mun.
[Do you need a promo code?] Nope!
[Any questions?] Not at the moment!
